We enjoyed our stay at this KOA. It was very wooded and seemed isolated although we were just off a major highway. Therefore, we did have some road noise to contend with but it was not bad. The management was very helpful and welcoming and the store and snack/ice cream bar was clean and inviting. We enjoyed an after dinner ice cream cone very much. We would have given this park a 10 but the rigs were packed pretty close together. We would stay here again.
We had premium site 5 and it was well worth the additional cost. The view was the most beautiful we've ever enjoyed in 15 years of RVing! Management was very welcoming, even when we arrived hours before our scheduled check-in. Note: There is a very firm 3:00 pm check-in so all the folks checking-out can clear the fairly tight mountain road before new folks start driving up. We promise to remember the rules when we return and we definitely will return!
This was an overnight stop for us, but we really enjoyed Ms. Loretta's RV park. The property is very wooded and the park is well thought out and attractive. We enjoyed driving around the property and the tour of the mansion and a replica of her childhood home. We did not have time to visit her museum but would like to on another trip. It is about 7 miles from I-40 but we thought it was worth the side trip.
Very nice staff; however, we specifically asked for a site that would be satellite and Wi-Fi friendly. Got set up only to find that we can't use the satellite and the Wi-Fi is spotty at best. But the park is very clean and well-maintained although we felt it was a little expensive. The site was definitely big enough to handle our motorhome and tow car just fine. Very close to a lot of Nashville attractions.
Staff greeted us warmly, assisted us with propane, and escorted us to the campsite in very short order. Well-maintained campground with easy on/off access to I-20. Will stay here again when in the Abilene area.
